Library Needs:

• More Books and Magazines Donate

• Furniture – book shelvings, organizers, etc. Donate

• Computers and printers for library use and internet research Donate

• Monthly broadband subscription ($20 per month) Donate

• CD/DVD player Donate

• General education learning & movies: VHS, CD & DVD formats Donate

• Newspapers, magazines – currently there are no subscriptions Donate

• Hardbound and softbound novels Donate

• Reference books for high school and elementary Donate

• Learning aids for kindergartens and pre-schoolers Donate

• Medical reference books Donate

• Window blinds/curtains Donate

• Tables Donate

• TV set platform, 110-220V transformer Donate

Reader Services

Due to its limited resources, the library currently does not issue library cards and does not allow check-outs or borrowing of books, periodicals, and audio/visual items.

The following library services are not yet available:
a. Library website
b. Reference Enquiry system
c. Catalog Search sytem
d. E-books and E-journals

Proposed Promotion Activities

• Encourage various sectors in the community to set up reading clubs;
• Organize "love for books" series of activities;
• Conduct story-telling activities and organize kids' reading club;
• Encourage reading among the youth and adults;
• Promote physical and mental health education for the citizens of Loreto and Tubajon.

LUSCAN accepts charitable donations to support various projects for the educational and cultural needs for the communities in Loreto and Tubajon, Province of Dinagat Islands, Philippines. Charitable donations and contributions are tax deductible.
