LUSCAN has received brand new book donation from
McGraw-Hill Companies through the efforts of Pros Galido.
Initial 5 cartons
of new books, totaling 108 books, arrived in Whittier, California. The
books will be shipped to the LUSCAN Library located in Loreto, Dinagat
Island, Philippines.
More books are expected to arrive within the next
few weeks.
Dear Loretenos in the U.S.A. and Canada,
Loretenos will continue to carry on with its annual tradition of holding a
LUSCAN reunion despite the global economic downturn. We will discuss our
ongoing projects and plans for the coming years. Also, we will share
news about our towns and barangays, remember our folks back home, reminisce
the good old days, and create an atmosphere of camaraderie and unity. As in
past reunions, there will be lots of fun activities and excitement by
meeting once again our fellow Loretonians.
Our annual reunion will take place in Anaheim,
California, home of Disneyland and California Adventure. Bring your colorful
Hawaiian outfit to showcase at our dinner-dance event. Discover
yourself and show your talent in dance and songs and stand-up comedy acts.
Be involved with our non-profit organization by
actively participating in our fund-raising activities, donating books to the
Library, contributing ideas that accomplish our organization goals, and
attending the members meeting.
